Founded on August 21, 1962, the New Mexico Automotive Industry Alliance (NMAIA) has a proud legacy of championing the needs of independent car dealers in New Mexico. Spearheaded by industry leaders like Ross McCallister, Ralph Pool, Robert B. Gibson, Walter Gibson, and Sam Acquisto, our mission was clear from the start: to advance the interests of independent automobile dealers while maintaining the highest standards of business practice for the benefit of both dealers and the public.

Today, nearly 60 years later, we remain as dedicated as ever to our mission. The NMAIA continues to serve New Mexico’s independent automobile dealers and the community with a wide range of services, education, advocacy, and resources. Our commitment to SERVE, SHARE & SUPPORT is stronger than ever, especially after implementing a strategic plan in 2017 to better focus our efforts and elevate our industry.
